Left 4 Dead 2 for Linux public beta coming this week

Valve is set to launch the Left 4 Dead 2 beta on Linux this week. Those who already own the Steam version of the game will receive access soon, alongside the Extended Mutation System that has been available since February.
Those who download the beta will be placed on servers away from the commercial version. Valve has also suggested that players with bandwidth problems "might want to wait for the changes to move to the main game."
