Shantae releasing on 3DS Virtual Console this summer

Shantae is a Game Boy Colour platformer that seems to have been re-released on every other Nintendo format so far. The 3DS is no different, as the game is getting a Virtual Console port this summer.

It's the first title by WayForward Technologies - which is currently working on DuckTales Remastered for Capcom - and it comes ahead of the third game Shantae And The Pirate's Curse launching on the 3DS eShop later this year.

WayForward's Matt Bozon confirmed over Twitter that the original Shantae is heading to 3DS Virtual Console:
