Planetside 2 players rolling in unearned cash due to error - report

Sony Online Entertainment recently decided to compensate Planetside 2 players who had purchased useless duplicate items with Certs, the MMO's currency. Unfortunately, PCGamesN claims something went terribly wrong, and many players have received ridiculously inflated rewards, and the leaderboards are groaning under the weight of so many overnight millionaires, kitted out with every upgrade available all at once. The latest update from SoE's Matt Higby denies any erroneous payouts, but an earlier post mentioned that any errors wouldn't be rolled back.
