Mad Max domain registrations point to Warner Bros. as publisher

Superannuation has dug up domain registrations pertaining to the Mad Max game which has been connected to Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios for what seems eons now.

The domains MadMaxGame, MadMaxTheGame, and WorldGoneMadLegendOfMax have all popped up.

Each was registered by Warner Bros. which is unsurprising since it was the international film distributor for the first film, the sole distributor of Mad Max 2, and co-distributor for Beyond Thunderdome.

Previously, Superannuation found evidence suggesting that both Mad Max and Just Cause 3 would be next-gen only titles.

Neither has been formally announced, but Avalanche has been teasing the hell out of us lately.

Back in 2008, Former God of War 2 director Cory Barlog was pegged as the lead developer on the Mad Max game by Mad Max: Fury Road director George Miller, who said the game would be a tie-in.

In 2010, Barlog posted a number of tweets stating the game had come out of pre-production and it would be released close to the film's debut. It was around this time Barlog joined Avalanche, only to depart the firm for Crystal Dynamics in 2012.

The film Mad Max: Fury Road, starring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, is expected to hit theaters sometime in 2014.
