id Software vet Tom Hall joins PlayFirst as principal designer

PlayFirst has announced that Tom Hall has joined the company as a principal designer.

As you can see through the Wiki link - for those not in the know - Hall was a co-founder of id Software and has had a hand in the development of DOOM, Wolfenstein 3D, Commander Keen, Spear of Destiny and others.

“With Tom, we are adding an industry superstar who has demonstrated the prowess of his creative talents over the years,” said Marco DeMiroz, president and CEO of PlayFirst. “His versatility across genres and audiences makes him an invaluable addition to the PlayFirst team.”

Hall has worked on more than 100 game titles spanning all genres, and was most recently creative director at Loot Drop, Inc.

PlayFirst focuses on mobile games one can play with both family and friends such as the popular iOS title, Diner Dash.
