Mojang has revealed that its February Mojam raised $517,489 for charity.

According to the breakdown provided by the developer, 86,531 folks donated the median amount of $2 to the cause while the average was $5.98.

Once payment processor fees were taken out of the equation, $295,553.96 was raised for The Electronic Frontier Foundation and $194,493.28 for Block By Block.

In the process, Notch’ beard was shaved. If you missed out on that, the video can be watched through the developer’s blog.

The three-day event saw teams creating games based on a set of random words such as: Nuclear, French, Endless, War, Kittens, Spaceship and Pizza.
