Richard Garriott to deliver Quo Vadis '13 keynote

Shroud of the Avatar creator Richard Garriot will deliver a keynote speech at Quo Vadis '13, one of Europe's biggest game conferences. The event takes place between 23-25 April in Cafe Moskau, Berlin.

In a statement sent to VG247 today, the event organisers confirmed that the conference - which looks at the business and creative aspects of game development - will include Garriott's address. The lecture will take place on Wednesday 24 April.

The title of his paper has yet to be revealed, but he will discuss the future of gaming and his newly-announced Kickstarter RPG Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues.

Stephan Reichart, of Quo Vadis organisers Aruba Events said of Garriot's appearance, "We are very proud to welcome Richard in Berlin. Lord British inspired a whole generation of game developers and changed playing online games in many ways.

"We cannot reveal the title of his paper just now, but I promise you, it will be a very special highlight - just as all his talks have been for many years now."
