God of War: Ascension dev excited about PS4 specs, applauds connectivity

God of War: Ascension developer Sony Santa Monica has discussed its excitement for PS4 in a new interview. The team has also championed the console's processor and scope for connected social functions.

Speaking with OPM, lead game designer Mark Simon called PS4 "a powerful machine”, and added, "“It’s going to use processors that’ll we’ll be able to develop on right away, so there’s some really good things about that.

"I think that the promise of that machine, in terms of what it can deliver, being more engineered towards everyone being connected together, is an extremely important concept.”

In our own God of War: Ascension interview, we spoke with Simon about what it takes to push technical and artistic boundaries with each new instalment, and the team suggested that it has the power to squeeze more and more out of PS3, despite PS4's incoming release.
