Eurogamer Network becomes Gamer Network due to global expansion

Eurogamer Network has undergone a name change to reflect its recently global expansion into new territories. Say hello to Gamer Network.

GI.biz reports that the Eurogamer Network - at present - sees over ten million uniques each month, coming from sites like Games Industry, Nintendo Life and yours truly, VG247.

CEO Rupert Loman said of the name change, "We already have a base of readers, clients and employees in the US, as well as our first non-European licensee in Brazil, so this name change feels overdue.

"This move demonstrates how important our international aspirations are to us and gets us ready for our upcoming US website launch."

The company's US site will be called USgamer, and it is gearing up for launch soon.
