Phoenix Online has ported its original adventure series, Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller, to the iPad. The supernatural point-and-click series has produced two episodes so far on lead platforms Mac and PC, and the first, The Hangman, is now available through the App Store at a special launch price of $4, down from the regular $5. Trailer and screens available below.

Cognition traces investigator Erica Reed’s quest to track down her brother’s killer. Developer Phoenix Online is best known for its King’s Quest tribute The Silver Lining, and collaborated with legendary adventure designer Jane Jensen on Cognition. It’s also developing Jensen’s Moebius while her team works on an unannounced project for a publisher.
