Kotaku is carrying a report of a Chinese gamer who was seriously ill following a gaming marathon. The 36 year-old man spent the weekend of Chinese New Year gaming all night, sleeping all day, and drinking with friends in the evenings, and suffered a minor stroke thereafter. As always, it’s not video games that are the villain here, but the extraordinary periods spent on one activity. Moderate your gaming hours as you would any other pursuit, with plenty of breaks, sensible sleeping and diet, and a good life balance. End mum mode.
Steam sales are a well established tradition at this point, and a little thing like the mass of discouts of Black Friday isn’t going to stop the service from offering plenty of PC bargains.
If you’ve bought Axiom Verge, more of the sale went directly to the developer than usual, because of a generous offer from the game’s publisher.
The Black Friday deals keep coming, and Green Man Gaming are currently offering three of Bethesda’s most recent games for 50% off their original prices on PC.
