Need for Speed film to star Michael Keaton

Michael Keaton has accepted a role in the upcoming Need for Speed film.

Keaton has had a varied acting career but here in Geek Central we know him best as Beetlejuice and Tim Burton's Batman.

He's also in Breaking Bad, which just so happens to feature Jesse Pinkman, who has also signed on for the racer adaptation.

Dominic Cooper and Imogen Poots have also been confirmed after their rumoured casting in November.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Keaton's going to play a character who hosts an underground racing tournament. Cooper and Pinkman are drivers, while Poots is slated to be an exotic car dealer.

The Dreamworks production is expected to be in cinemas by February 2014.
