Frozen Synapse: Tactics announced for PS Vita, LBP Vita studio developing

Frozen Synapse: Tactics is heading to PS Vita later this year, courtesy of Littlebigplanet developer Double Eleven. The studio promises to do great things with its remake of Mode7’s original title.

Shacknews reports that the game – a top-down turn-based – strategy title, in which teams of characters try to out-wit one another using badass weaponry.

In a statement released by Double Eleven today, art director Demi Gounari said “Our vision is to reinvent the game’s aesthetics and interactivity in the same way that Mode7 reinvented strategy gaming with this title.”

Double Eleven COO Mark South added, “We don’t want to give too much away yet, but I will say that Frozen Synapse: Tactics is not simply a transition of the original onto console; we will be giving it a complete Double Eleven makeover.”
