Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon will include a bunch of new features which are yet to be fully detailed.

The portable sequel was featured in this week’s Famitsu, according to Gematsu‘s translation of Japanese reports..

The magazine confirmed earlier reports of local multiplayer and mentioned “download play” and “online support”.

Unfortunately, early reports are yet to go into detail on any of these new features.

However, the magazine did explain a new gameplay mechanic called Darklight. Players use this new, rainbow-coloured device to light up areas darkened by enemies. Ghosts will then rise from the cursed spot, and if they’re captured, the area will be restored.

Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon is due on 3DS in March in the US and Europe.
