MLB 13 The Show Diamond Dynasty mode tweaked and rebalanced

MLB 13 The Show's expansive Diamond Dynasty ultimate team mode has been given a serious shake up; get the details within.

According to a developer post on the PlayStation Blog, Dynasty cards now show a players maximum attributes as well as their starting stats, so you can more accurately choose players with potential to meet your needs throughout the season. Cards also now distinguish between Starting Pitchers, Relievers and Closers, making it easier to build a solid line-up.

SCE San Diego has also tackled the issue of players quitting and introduced a couple of counter and compensatory measures. Budget earned is displayed on a per inning basis, which should help prevent and the Mercy Rule applies.

In other miscellaneous tweaks, there's now a Designated Hitter; you can choose American or National League rules; the Logo Editor has been improved; and Diamond Dynasty Home gives a top-level quick view of your team.

The video below discusses some of these points in details as well as giving a look at Diamond Dynasty in action.

MLB 13 The Show is due on March 5 on both PlayStation 3 and Vita, with Cross Save and Cross Play support.
