Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate intros continue with Zinogre

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate contains several new enemies, the latest of which is the fearsome Zinogre.

Zinogre is a fanged wyvern type, according to a profile on Capcom Unity. Previously seen in the Japanese version of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, Zinogre appears in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate in both standard and Stygian form, withe the latter subspecies being a Dragon type.

The standard Zinogre uses thunder element attacks, with lots of contact moves such as tackles and stomps. However, it also leaps into the air for acrobatic moves like a wide-reaching tail spin, or backflips which can aversely affect those keen on backstabs.

Zinogre can charge up its thunder skills to different power levels, but the longer it charges the more vulnerable it is to attack.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is due on 3DS and Wii U in March. As the name suggests, it is supposed to be the final version of the phenomenally successful Monster Hunter 3 ahead of the launch of 3DS-exclusive sequel Monster Hunter 4.

Capcom introduced us to Volvidon and Lagombi last week, and the game's weapons are also being slowly detailed.
