EA and Monster reveal carbon gaming headset at CES

EA and Monster - the same wizards who created the Beats Audio line of headphones - are taking on Turtle Beach and Triton at their own game, by releasing a set of flashy, rather expensive headphones bearing the EA Sports insignia. The kit is due to be release Stateside in February, and has just been unveiled at CES.

A press release handed to BusinessWire prices up the 'MVP Carbon' headset at $269.95, which comes with 5.1 surround sound and is compatible with PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii and Wii U formats.

The headset will come in both white and black flavours and will be available at select retailers and via the official Monster site from February. No word of a European release has been given yet.
