Square-Enix announces browser-based RPG Legend World, features Final Fantasy beasts

Square-Enix has announced a new browser-based RPG for Japan that syncs up with members of the developer's social platform Square-Enix Members. The game is dubbed Square-Enix: Legend World, and it sees members battling classic Final Fantasy monsters.

Siliconera reports that Square-Enix: Legend World sees players battling as their Square-Enix Members avatar against a manner of Cactaurs, Bombs and other Final Fantasy monsters.

The game is said to run on Stage 3D and Flash to make for some rather colourful and impressive visuals, but there are also a range of lower-spec modes if you want a less intensive experience. The game will enter closed beta in 2013 across Japan, with no Western release announced.
