Journey score nominated for Grammy Award

Journey's orchestral score has been nominated for a Grammy award.

The haunting soundtrack to thatgamecompany's adventure topped iTunes charts, is available in a boxed collector's edition, and was penned by composer Austin Wintory, who seems a bit stunned by the nomination.

"Well I don't really have words right now," he said on Twitter.

Journey is nominated in the category Best Score Soundtrack For Visual Media, alongside The Adventures Of Tintin - The Secret Of The Unicorn; The Artist; The Dark Knight Rises; The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo; and Hugo.

The 55th Grammy Aawards will be held on February 10. Congratulations and good luck to Wintory, thatgamecompany and Sony.

Journey released via the PlayStation Network this year and is the best-selling PSN release of all time in addition to winning near universal critical acclaim.
