StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm will introduce Groups system

Following on from clan support, StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm will add a Groups system to the Battle.net RTS. In a new developer post, Blizzard explained the Groups have many similar features to Clans including chat channels, a news page and roster. The crucial difference is that Clans can only have 20 members, while Groups support a "nearly unlimited number". Players can join just one Clan, but up to 20 Groups; Groups can be public and do not have a tag. More details through the link above. Groups will be addedin an upcoming beta patch and will go live alongside Heart of the Swarm in the first half of 2013.
