Star Trek Online UGC tool suite updated next season

Cryptic Studios has added a number of new features to its user generated content suite, the Foundry.

As detailed in a developer blog, come season seven, the Foundry will be complemented by a Spotlight feature. This will allow Cryptic to promote a user-generated mission each week in players' quests Journals, and grant rewards to those who complete it. Creators will be able to submit their missions for consideration.

Creators will now be able to hide NPCs, and NPCs can be set to patrol. The Mugato NPC is now available as an enemy type, and temporal ships have been added to the costume creator.

Finally, New Romulus is available as a Cryptic map, so creators can take advantage of all the setting has to offer.

Thanks, Massively.
