Nintendo TVii headed to Europe in 2013

The Wii U's native TV service TVii is breaking out of its regional exclusivity to launch in Europe.

In a very bare bones announcement, Nintendo UK said the service is on its way to "selected regions".

More details are promised "in due course", which could mean anything, given the service's extremely vague 2013 window.

The service had previously been announced for the US and Canada only, where it launches in December, having missed the Wii U's release date earlier in the month.

The Wii U supports YouTube in its browser, and in the US, has recently gained official Amazon Instant Video and Hulu Plus apps along with a built-in Netflix app.

Thanks, Joystiq.
