Rune Factory 4 port teased by XSEED

Do you like speculation? Ambiguity? The Japan-only RPG Rune Factory 4? Well then you're going to love this: publisher XSEED has hinted that it might localize the 3DS title for Western markets in the future.

As Nintendo Life reports, a post over on XSEED's Facebook account has given rise to the newfound speculation.

Responding to one eager fan's request for a port, the publisher said: "Hmmm, we've had an itch to work on another Rune Factory game since we loved Frontier so much, so let's see if we can't grab a back scratcher somehow..."

For those who don't know, the "Frontier" referred to above is Rune Factory Frontier, the 2009 Wii entry in the role-playing series that was fairly popular upon its release. XSEED itself may best be known as the publishers of "Operation Rainfall" title The Last Story.
