Halo 4 promo offers cash, vouchers, and trips to E3

Microsoft and American Express have teamed up to offer you money to play Halo 4. I have pinched myself quite hard and assure you neither of us is dreaming.

VentureBeat reports entering the promotion is as simple as "syncing" your American Express card with your Xbox Live ID. It's powered by a system called Card Sync which matches your two identities, but according to Amex, no information is shared between the two companies. The system allows Amex to add credit to user's cards in return for certain behaviours like tweeting or sharing on Facebook.

For Halo 4 players, there are quite a few rewards on offer. Complete a Spartan Ops mission on any difficulty, and you'll score a voucher for $50 with any $100 spend at best Buy.

Complete the Wake Up John level on normal or higher, and you'll be given $25 Amex credit.

Meanwhile, the first 30 participants to complete Halo 4 on Legendary will win a trip to E3 next year.

This deal seems to be open to US residents only; an explanatory video follows.

Halo 4 launches on November 6, exclusively for Xbox 360.
