Battlefield: Bad Company to spawn a TV series

Battlefield: Bad Company is the latest EA property to get the Hollywood treatment, but this time, it's the small screen that will benefit.

Deadline Hollywood reports the shooter franchise is being developed as a comedy action show.

The series is in production at Fox and is being helmed by John Eisendrath of Alias fame. It follows a team of four soldiers who leave the military for the private sector; presumably we're talking PMCs and not like, office life, but you never know and that would obviously be amazing.

If you're not familiar with Bad Company's marketing a comedy series might sound a little strange, but the two titles generated a number of popular trailers which took a more light-hearted approach to the serious business of military FPS.
