Medal of Honor: Warfighter multiplayer beta hits weekend

Medal of Honor: Warfighter's multiplayer beta, which is exclusive to Xbox 360, will go live at the end of this week, according to senior designer Ben Jones.

The date of October 5 was dropped during the latest podcast from Major Nelson.

The beta will feature the new multiplayer mode called HotSpot, where players “attack and defend randomly-selected locations on the Sarajevo Stadium map in Bosnia.”

Inspired by “real life operations,” players will team-up in pairs using the game’s co-op Fireteam system.

The multiplayer beta will be available for a limited time for XBL Gold members and participants will receive an hour's worth of double XP for the multiplayer mode in the full game.

You can look over the FAQ for the beta here.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter launches on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 on October 23 in the US and October 26 in the UK.

Players that pre-order the Limited Edition before the game launches will receive The Hunt Map Pack at no extra cost.
