Smite video shows gods battling each other to MANOWAR metal

Smite, the upcoming free-to-play online game from Hi-Rez Studios has a new video available featuring god vs. god gameplay footage - and it's full of metal. MANOWAR metal to be exact.

Apparently, the band is collaborating with the game and have lent their tune, The Sons of Odin, to the video. If you don't know who they are, there's a picture of them below.

In the game, players choose from a selection of gods, join session based 5 vs 5 arena combat, and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions.

The online game Smite began closed beta testing in June and has already surpassed 500,000 player downloads within the first three months.

Smite will release on PC in Q1 2013. Players interested in joining the closed beta can register here.
