Arma 3 sale blocked in Iran over county's portrayal as an enemy of NATO

Arma 3 has been refused licensing in Iran over a scene in the game that portrays Iran as enemies of NATO.

Trend reports - by way of GI.Biz - that both Iran's National Foundation of Computer Games and the government's Revolutionary Guard Corps have objected to the game's sale over scenes that show NATO battling against a n Eastern army led by Iran.

The report states that sale and imports of the game will be banned for wrongly depicting Iran as enemies of NATO.

In other Arma 3 news, developer Bohemia Interactive released a statement regarding the arrest of two if its employees on the Greek island of Lemnos. Both developers face up to 20 years imprisonment if found guilty of espionage charges.
