Earth Defence Force 3 Portable gets new multiplayer modes & screens

Earth Defence Force 3 Portable is heading to PS Vita, and D3 Publisher has lifted the lid off new multiplayer modes, as well as fresh batch of screens. Check out the screens below.

The news follows recent Famitsu coverage of Earth Defence Force 4, which is heading to PS3 and Xbox 360 next year.

Earth Defence Force 3 Portable's multiplayer support will see co-op modes - pitting humans against waves of giant enemies - and competitive play - which sees the humans turning against each other in armed combat.

Both modes can be played ad-hoc or online. Earth Defence Force 3 Portable hits PS Vita in Japan 27 September.
