LittleBigPlanet Vita on sale ahead of street date

LittleBigPlanet Vita has started showing up in US retailers a little ahead of schedule.

According to a weekend post on the US PS Blog, retailers have begun offering the game for sale ahead of its September 18 launch.

The post makes mention of the game going gold ahead of schedule, which seems to suggest stock turned up earlier than expected.

Sony has apologised for the broken street date; the servers will remain offline until launch day, leading to some consternation among those who scored an early copy.

LittleBigPlanet Vita's reviews have been quite strong so far. You still have time to pre-order at most retailers in order to receive bonus costumes; remember that DLC is compatible across LittleBigPlanet 2 and Karting, as well.
