The Secret World's Digging Deeper update delayed into next week

The Secret World's Digging Deeper update has been delayed into next week, Funcom has announced.

The issue found, and the same one we reported yesterday, could cause severe exploit.

"Unfortunately, it will take us some more time to make sure the issue is removed and the new version has been thoroughly tested," said Funcom. "We will keep on working over the weekend to fix the remaining issue and make sure that the final version will be ready for the live servers next week.

"As soon as all the details are available, we will announce the downtime for the update over the usual channels early next week.

"We need to make sure that the version is ready and doesn’t contain any severe issues before it’s deployed to the Live servers. We apologize for the delay and thank you for your patience and understanding."

Digging Deeper was scheduled to launch today after being delayed from September 11.

The update was originally slated for release on August 28.
