Kindle Fire HD has been announced by Amazon.

The new tablet contains:

  • dual stereo speakers
  • Dolby
  • two Wi-Fi antennas
  • OMAP 4 processor from TI
  • 5 GHz Wi-Fi
  • storage options starting at 16 GB
  • Whispersync for games - never start over, stores unlocked levels
  • Skype app
  • X-Ray for movies you're watching which syncs with IMDB
  • New email app with Exchange support
  • Sync calendars and contacts with Hotmail, Yahoo, and Gmail
  • FreeTime  parental controls
  • HDMI out

The 8.9 inch model will run you $299 and you can buy it today for shipping on November 20.

The 7-inch will cost $199 and ships September 14.

A Kindle Fire HD with a 4G LTE data connection with  32 GB of storage will run you $499 and $50 annually for data with 250MB of data per month. It also ships on November 20.
