Spelunker HD update hits next week, contains new area and seven Championship Mode packs

Spelunker HD will receive a software update which includes a new area, along with seven additional downloadable Championship Mode packs.

The patch and each DLC pack will include a new area with 10 stages containing up to 80 additional levels, as well as increased lives and extra content trophies.

The update also improves screen views in the online multiplayer mode, and EX1, the first expansion pack will be included for free as part of the patch.

Packs EX2 through EX8 will be available soon after for $1.99/€1.99 each.

Two more packs are expected in September.

The update for Spelunker HD will be releases in both Europe and North America on August 28 through PSN. PlayStation Plus members will be able to purchase both Spelunker HD and the new Championship Mode DLC packs for 50% on the same day.
