The Walking Dead offers two murky environmental shots

We haven't heard much about Terminal Reality's shooter based on The Walking Dead, and we haven't seen much of it, either. This post doesn't do much to change that.

The screens aren't hellishly interesting at this early stage, I'm afraid, but the game itself sounds quite cool. Terminal Reality's take on The Walking Dead stars Daryl Dixon, and combines first-person shooting with survival mechanics. Players need to ration ammo, food, medical supplies and other goods; you'll need more than quick reflexes, apparently.

The developer is really proud of how the Walkers look, move and sound just like they do on the TV show, and is also pushing to have them behave the same way, too, reacting to sounds, sights and smells.

Like TellTale's offering, the shooter offers opportunities to make significant, consequential choices about whether to assist other survivors.

The Walking Dead is due on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 some time in 2013.
