DayZ to release as standalone experience

Day Z will release as a standalone title, according to ArmA II developer Bohemia Interactive. It's creator, Dean Hall, will lead development on the PC-exclusive title.

According to Hall, development and updates of the mod "will continue in parallel with the development of the game." This will allow those playing the game no to continue doing so.

"The project will follow the Minecraft development model," said Hall. "Fast iterations with the community alpha available for a heavily discounted price."

Over the coming weeks, DayZ will be given its own website game will have it’s own site, but for now, the mod will continueto be resent at its current link.

No release date just yet.

DayZ now has over 1 million registered players.
