Call of Duty: Elite 12m players registered, 2.3m pay for it

Call of Duty: Elite - Activision's social and competitive hub for the series - has surpassed 12 million registered users. The news came out of the publisher's annual financial report. You can read the VG247 report on the company's performance here.

Call of Duty: Elite currently has over 12 million registered users, while only 2.3 million gamers pay for the premium service.

The staggered method of MW3 DLC has proved a sticking point for some gamers who have felt left out by periods of Xbox 360 exclusivity.

Regardless, Infinity Ward released its plans for the last two MW3 DLC drops yesterday - one for August, another for September. Check out the details here.
