Zynga likely to report user decline in Q2 report, says analyst

Cowen and Company believes Zynga will report a user decline in users during its Q2 earnings report tomorrow. Using declines in FrontierVille and Mafia Wars as basis, analyst Doug Creutz noted the drop in 3.5 million daily active users for the games are "a critical threshold" and expects eight of its top ten most played titles, including CityVille and FarmVille, to have dropped below this figure. However, the firm's initiatives like Zynga.com has the "potential to drive long-term upside," but that the firm's "core Facebook game business is likely in decline." Thanks, Gamasutra.
