Kratos will be more likable in God of War: Ascension

Todd Papy, director on God of War: Ascension, has said Kratos will be more "likable" and "somewhat" relatable in the game, compared to previous outings.

Speaking with Game Informer, Papy said that while our Spartan hero will still be "somewhat ruthless," there will be a "side to him that you could somewhat relate to."

"And that was something I wanted to get across," said Papy, adding that Kratos was a bit of an "asshole" in God of War 3.

"The whole idea behind the story is more, 'how do you undo selling your soul to the devil?' In essence, that is the question that we are answering in this story," Papy continued.

"Where does Kratos pick up roughly six months to a year after he killed his wife and kid? What's his mental state? It's not a very pleasant one."

God of War: Ascension is out in 2013.
