Funcom developing new family-friendly LEGO MMO

Norwegian studio Funcom has just started work on an all-new family-friendly MMO, based on the popular line of LEGO Minifigures.

According to the developer, the upcoming title will "focus on maximum accessibility" and become 'a prominent part of the LEGO Minifigures online experience' at minifigures.lego.com.

Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas described it as an "incredibly exciting" opportunity, stating that "the market for family-friendly online experiences intended for children and youngsters is brimming with potential." "We simply cannot wait to get started working with the LEGO Group on realising this exciting project.”

The LEGO Minifigures line features volumes of individual minifigures sold in blind-bag packaging.
