Platinum Games "in the dark" on Anarchy Reigns delay

Lauded action developer Platinum Games is unable to explain why the western release of Anarchy Reigns has been pushed back.

"First of all, we are done with all international versions of Anarchy Reigns. The delay is not due to further development on the game," producer Atsushi Inaba said on Twitter, before adding:

"Today's Q1 2013 release news was the first we'd heard of it. Even if we wanted to, we can't comment as we're (still) in the dark officially.

Platinum Games staff have been quite communicative about the delay ever since it dropped off Sega's release schedule, noting that it had no explanation for the wait on the fully localised title.

Online brawler Anarchy Reigns hits Japan on July 5 and is now expected in the west in early 2013, a full year later than expected.
