Ubisoft getting into the eSports game with ShootMania Storm

Ubisoft has announced its getting into the eSports genre with FPS ShootMania Storm, which was designed "specifically with eSports in mind." The publisher brought six eSports champions and pro-gamers on to the E3 press conference stage to demonstrate one of the competitive shooter's more unusual modes, which pit one-hit kill rail guns against two-hit kill rockets, with territory to be defended. The match was quick and brutal. No word on eSports partnerships yet. You can sign up for the beta through shootmania.com, and check out the debut trailer. The PC exclusive is expected to launch this year.
