No V2.00 trailer for FFXIV at E3, says new roadmap

A new roadmap for the release of version 2.00 for Final Fantasy XIV has shown there won't be a new trailer of the update for E3.

The old roadmap for version 2.00 had shown the marketing ramping up next week in Los Angeles following what was supposed to be the release of version 1.23 in April.

Instead, the new roadmap now has marketing for 2.00 beginning in August - we'll assume gamescom will be the place for that to happen - with version 1.23 set to come in mid-June.

2.00 will still be at E3 next week in some form, though: FFXIV producer Naoki Yoshida will be chatting with press about the update, which is due to drop this October.

The new timeline also doesn't affect the closed beta period for the PS3 version of the MMO.
