Blizzard nerfs Monk class in first Diablo III Hotfix

Blizzard has announced the first Hotfix for Diablo III, affecting those who play the Monk class in the game.

The company said in a Battle.net post it was currently removing the on-use benefits of Boon of Protection, the rune linked to Mantra of Healing.

Protection was implemented with "approximately ten times over its budget on the benefits it provided," according to moderator Bashiok, but said it was an error on the company's part.

"We don't intend to take these quick and drastic measures often, but considering the severity of the issue, we felt it important to correct it swiftly."

A full list of fixes are due to arrive sometime today.
