Analyst - Activision and EA settlement clears Respawn's debut for a FY14 release

Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter believes the settlement between Activision and EA will pave the way for Respawn's first title to release during the 2014 fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2014.

Pachter said to CVG that due said settlement, Wedbush doesn't think Activision will "attempt to block or delay," the developer's first title.

A joint statement from EA and Activision was released last night, stating the publishers had agreed to put the matter of ex-Infinity Ward heads Jason West and Vince Zampella's insubordination "behind them."

However, the case between the former Call of Duty developers and Activision is still slated for trial on May 29.

After the duo were fired from Infinity Ward in March 2010 , they went on to found Respawn Entertainment and its first game will be published by EA Partners.

Respawn said yesterday it wouldn’t be showing its debut game at E3 next month.
