Rumour: Microsoft making Kinect Play Fit, accessory Joule to accompany it

Microsoft is making Kinect Play Fit, according to a Verge report. The effort will also come with an accessory, currently codenamed Joule.

Joule will be a heart-rate monitor similar to the one that comes bundled with EA Sports Active, allowing users to track that person's heart-rate wirelessly so any exercise, regardless of what it is, fits the target goal.

Most Kinect games will be compatible with Kinect Play Fit, but don't have to make use of the exercise tracking feature.

For its introduction, Kinect Play Fit will see a dashboard update in the near future. More details are due to drop at E3 in three weeks.
