Kickstarter for The Banner Saga ends with $723,886 pledged

Stoic Studio's round of Kickstarter funding for The Banner Saga has ended with $723,886 pledged by 20,042 backers.

The firm's initial goal was to hit $100,000 in funding, and once it hit the $650,000 mark it could afford to port the title to PSN and XBLA and now with even more funding added, the firm will be able to add player-owned cities in multiplayer.

Stoic is also looking into a Vita version, and while it can't promise it will release on the platform, it would "really like to get it on the Vita at some point."

The turn-based strategy adventure game is estimated for release at the end of the year, it could slip into next year due to all the extras being added.
