Five time FIFA Interactive World Cup competitor Samuel Lage Liberato has won his way into the global finals – as Australia’s champion.

MCV Pacific reports the Brazillian backpacker has made it to the global finals five times in the past.

After making a last minute trip to Newcastle for the regional finals, Liberato proceeded to absolutely smash any opposition right up to – and through – the national final in Sydney last night.

The FIFA Interactive World Cup carries a $20,000 grand prize as well as the chance to rub shoulders with soccer legends.
