Razer to produce left-handed Naga

Fan support has allowed Razer to back its second left-handed gaming mouse - the MMO-enabling Naga.

Last week, Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan asked southpaws to show support for the production of the mouse.

"We've always taken care of the southpaw gamers of the world with our ambi mice and the [left-handed Deathadder] - in fact, for every left-handed DeathAdder we make, we're losing money with each sale - and this in turn means we have less dollars for research and development of other products," Tan said.

"And we DO want to make a left handed Naga - but we can't just make it for 100 people - even for 10,000 gamers, it's a huge loss maker for Razer."

Tan asked for 10,000 Likes in under a month before he'd put the new mouse into production. As noted on the Razer Facebook page, the post actually hit over 10,000 in less than a week, meaning the mouse cna go into production - although there's still a long wait ahead.

"It won’t be here until at least next year - but rest assured that it’s in the works," Razer noted.

The Naga sports 17 custom keys, support for "thousands" of commands, and custom visual overlays for several popular MMORPGs, most notably World of Warcraft. Resident MMO expert Steph has been known to get a bit doe-eyed at mention of its name.
