Report: OpCapita places new bid for GAME UK, GameStop heading for Iberia, Czech arms

Comet owner OpCapita has placed another bid for GAME's UK operations, according to The Independent.

The company tabled a second offer - the first rejected before it entered into administration - to take over the retailer's 333 remaining stores after a cull of 277 stores on Monday.

It was reported this morning an RBS-backed consortium would takeover as early as tomorrow.

It's also rumouring that US retailer GameStop is set to buyout GAME's operations in the Iberia region - Spain and Portugal - and the Czech Republic. GameStop were previously rumoured to be taking over the Iberian stores.
