The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy HD collection is official

After weeks of leaks and rumours, Sony has finally confirmed The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy's existence.

The three PS2 classics have been remastered in 1080p, or 720 with stereoscopic 3D, to celebrate the franchise's tenth anniversary.

The EU PS Blog has the game down for a a May 16 release, while the US PS Blog can't commit any further than northern autumn.

"I know it’s a little bit later than the Spring European release, but it’s because we have something very special planned for our North American fans to celebrate the 10th anniversary, and we’ll share all the details very soon," Insomniac CEO Ted Price wrote.

Ratchet and Clank 3's competitive multiplayer is confirmed to be part of the bundle, and full trophy support means three platinum trophies await the faithful.
